JLPT N3 grammar

The JLPT publishes no official grammar syllabus. This 120-pattern study inventory is a community compilation representing the core intermediate grammar expected at JLPT N3. It is a practical study target, not an official list or a guarantee of test appearance.

The examples below are original study examples written for this knowledge base.

The study notes after the inventory table provide original explanations: formation rules, nuance, formal vs spoken register, and distinctions between easily confused patterns.
